Other new additions include the Hobbit House and luxury cabins shaped like pig sties.

The Agricultural Society of Rensselaer County offered three premiums for the best-cultivated farms in each town. Colonel Isaac Tallmadge had 255 acres, divided into lots of twelve to fifteen acres. In 1844, he had won a third-place wheat award. In 1851, he won the best-bred sheep at the fair. He had three pairs of matched horses, a two-year-old colt, and as many as three hundred sheep.
